As part of the Perak State's
river beautification programme, various spots along selected rivers
have been developed and landscaped to encourage better understanding
and appreciation of rivers. The coordinating centre for the
programme, SUPERI, is located by the river at the Sultan Yusoff
Bridge at Teluk Intan and at Kampung Pasang Api in Bagan Datoh. At
the 8th km. Sultan Yusoff Bridge, a 24-hour restaurant provides
meals and refreshment, apart from river appreciation. The panoramic
views of the sea from the river mouth at Kampung Pasang Api draws
many visitors as well as casual fishermen and anglers.
