If you're a bird lover, Kuala Gula's
at Kerian District renowned bird sanctuary is definitely the
destination for you. Over 160 species of exotic birds,
some protected, have been spotted in this spectacular, scenic
setting.
One of these is the rare, endangered Milky Stork which you
mustn't miss. This beautiful bird has made this haven
its home.
From September to December, there is a huge influx of
thousands of birds of all sorts from other continents, making
it the ideal time for you to visit.
This sanctuary is also home to a variety of land and sea
mammals like the smooth otter, dusky leaf monkey, long-tailed
macaque and ridge-backed dolphin. So, keep a sharp
look-out for these adorable co-habitants of Kerian's
heart-winning wildlife paradise.
