To Lumut Town
There are many ways to reach
Lumut, the jump off point for
Pangkor. A taxi or coach journey
from Kuala Lumpur takes about
three to four hours and from
Butterworth (Penang) takes about
two to three hours. Once in
Lumut, can catch the ferry to
Pangkor island, a comfortable 45
minutes-long sea voyage.
By Road
Lumut and Pangkor are
accessible by various highways either from Penang, Ipoh or Kuala
Lumpur.
Bus /
Coach Services
Regular Bus / Coach services are easily available from Pudu Raya in
Kuala Lumpur; Medan Kidd, Ipoh and Pengkalan Sultan Abdul Halim
(Jetty) in Butterworth.
Taxis
Taxi services are also easily available to Ipoh from the major towns
and cities in Peninsular Malaysia where you can board local buses or
taxis to Lumut Town.
To Pangkor Island
By Air
Pelangi Air operates regular
scheduled services from Kuala
Lumpur to Pangkor Island.

Ferry Services
Ferry services between Lumut on
the mainland and Pangkor Island
operate at 1/2 hourly intervals
and the fee is about RM4.00 per
person.
There are also regular scheduled
ferry services between the Pan
Pacific Resort and Lumut.
Once on Pangkor, you can take a bus, taxi
or even hire a motorbike to reach your favourite destination.
