Ipoh's School & Institution

One of two new religious schools in Ipoh : the Sekolah Izuddin Shah, a secondary school for boys.  One for girls is nearby. Sekolah Tuanku Abdul Rahman on Tiger Lane ( above ), and below, a fine new school.   An old building in Anglo-Chinese School (1898 ) housed the early classes.   The headmaster of the Anderson School, was an early education pioneer.   Anderson School ( 1909 ).   St. Michael's Institution, founded in 1913 in Ipoh, which looks over the town padang, in one of town's oldest areas.   This is the tree-shaded Methodist English School in Chamberlain Road, Ipoh.     A convent school in Ipoh. From the beginning, religious groups have played a big part in developing schools in Ipoh.
