Hugh Low Street taken from rise near the Registrar of Motor Vehicles office......The picture was taken in 1887. Panglima Street and Treacher Street, around 1904. Note elephants and topees, which were a common sight then, also the gharries, principal form of wheeled transport.   This is one of Ipoh's oldest streets, Belfield Street, seen from Station   Leech Street (1931).     The picture above was taken in 1894 by the Post Office of Malaysia , showing Hugh Low Street.   ... looking across the river. The picture was taken in 1920's.....     .... and street in 1960. The traffic lights replaced the policeman's shelter.
