Perak Tong
( Chinese Temple ) |

Perak Tong, a
limestone cave temple, is located at Jalan Kuala Kangsar, 6km
to the north of Ipoh.
This temple houses over 40 Buddha
statues, the centre piece being a 12.8m high sitting Buddha.

Beyond the main altar, there is a passage which leads into the
interior of the cave.
After a steep climb of 385 steps, the
cave opens again to reveal a wonderful view of the surrounding
countryside.

On the walls of the cave, a visitor will find
himself fascinated by mystical mural paintings. |
